Superintendent's Youth Leadership Council

Superintendent's Youth Leadership Council

SYLC is a Leadership group dedicated and financially committed by the Community Foundation of DeSoto County. It is made up of two representatives from each high school that are juniors and seniors.  Applications are made while the student's are juniors, and it is a two year commitment. Each student will learn the different styles of Leadership. The 2011-2012 school year will focus on Entrepreneurship Leadership, with a trip to New York City in April.

Applications are now being taken-deadline is August 19th. Please see the Guidance Office for applications.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our students!

Mayor's Leadership Council Applications

Mayor's Leadership Council

Mayor Chip Johnson will have his FIRST Mayor's Leadership Council Class this year!!!


Application Deadline is August 12, 2011


This will be a leadership opportunity for 25 HHS students grades 9-12. They will be able to take part in local government, attend town meetings, and have a youth "voice" for the town of Hernando. 

Stop by the Guidance Office to pick up an application and return to the Guidance Office by Friday.
