Engineering and Science Education Scholarships

Soladigm, Inc. is a proud corporate citizen of the City of Olive Branch and DeSoto County, Mississippi.  Their company is committed to ensuring the continued economic development and growth of our city, county and state.  As part of that commitment, Soladigm has instituted a scholarship initiative designed to educate and develop the world’s best engineers and scientists at home in Mississippi.

In 2011, Soladigm, Inc. is awarding two, four-year, full-tuition scholarships to attend any public or private college or university in the State of Mississippi.  One scholarship is awarded to a senior student who is currently enrolled in a high school located in the City of Olive Branch and is on schedule to graduate this spring.  The other scholarship is awarded to a senior student currently enrolled in any high school located in DeSoto County, including those high schools located in the City of Olive Branch, and is on schedule to graduate this spring.  The scholarships pay 100% of the tuition costs for attending any public or private college or university in the state for up to four years/eight semesters.

Graduation Checklists and Course Selection Forms will be given to students:

11^th Grade-February 16^th

10^th Grade-February 17^th

9^th Grade-February 18^th

Forms are due with Parent Signature to the Guidance Office on:

11^th Grade-February 23th

10^th Grade-February 24^th

9^th Grade-February 25^th

Students that have turned their Course Selection Forms into the Guidance Office will be allowed to register for courses in the HHS Libraryon:

Bridge Builders-Date Change

The Bridge Builders recruiter will NOW be at Hernando High School on Tuesday, February 22nd during Advisor time to speak to the 10th grade students. Please register for the presentation with your advisor teacher by Friday, February 18th.  This is a wonderful leadership program for students in the Mid-South area. One of our exceptional Senior students is on the Student Advisory Board for Bridge Builders. He will be there to talk to the potential students about the "real life" aspect of Bridge Builders.
